Welcome to Oil Paintings & Pet Care by Martyn White
I am a self taught artist who specialises in oil paintings from your favourite photograph(s) of your pet. I also offer a pet care/dog walking service in and around the Borough Green area in Kent.
Most of my work is head portraits of horses, dogs and cats but I can paint any subject from a good photograph. Please see Photography Tips for some suggestions for capturing a photo which will work well as a painting.
Whilst oil is most people's first choice, I can also paint in watercolour if you prefer. This lends itself to a different result, with less detail, but will still give you a memory to keep forever - and this can be a more economical choice. Whichever you decide, I will paint a lifelike and true representation of your pet. Every effort is made to ensure that the final painting is a mirror image of the photograph(s) provided.
Portraits are produced with the greatest attention to detail. I am very happy to discuss exact requirements with you, as I can work from many photographs to capture each animal's personality and so that you have a timeless piece to keep and treasure.
